When it comes to 2 people communicating, you'd be surprised by how much miscommunication goes on. It legitimately makes me think that people are speaking 2 different languages because of all the subtext and body language, not to mention wordplay and double entrendres and all the different nuances of people and their communication styles make miscommunication a far more common occurrence than it should be. O and I forgot to add people not BEING CLEAR ABOUT WHAT THEY WANT helps add to the problem that is miscommunication and it hurts me so. In seeing it, hearing about it and overall experiencing it Ive lost all patience for it.
Regardless of the medium people need to step their communication game up. Im tired of needing a translator for a text message, instant message or any technical reading. Short forms are supposed to HELP me understand you not lead me down a further path of confusion. Should be easy enough but unfortunately common sense aint all that common (another post of mine...comin soon) and as a result we often have people complaining (kind of like how I am now) that people dont understand them and that people hurt them yadda yadda yadda when realistically a lot of them (me included...maybe) jus werent clear at all. SAY WHAT YOU MEAN & MEAN WHAT YOU SAY. Jus a little mantra to help us all do our best to communicate effectively and clearly.
Honestyis overall the best policy makes the most friggin sense. That doesnt mean be a tactless jackass jus tell the truth with people (I kno Im making it seem so easy...but it can be) and that will lead them to do the same to you. I could go on an on here and talk about people needing to be honest and real with each other but there are also even more aspects (a lot jus to have proper conversation rite?) involved in this fight against miscommunication. Theres maturity, self realization, and ability to take and hear criticism to name a few.... Dam this post has gotten really preachy but per usual they will and I genuinely dont care its how I roll, the POINT is to allow whomever sees and/or reads this to look at their tactics for conversation and make sure they edit themselves and step away from their feelings and actually look objectively at what they've done and how they can get better....and avoid this.....
keepin it real can go o so wrong

Now that's getting in that A$$. You make a good point, we too often are afraid that people aren't on the same page as us. so we start talking ambiguously. So stop worrying about what people think - if someone doesn't like your point of view tough break nigga, just move on. you keep droppin gems playboy
ReplyDeleteThanks Ill I try, I even brought Snickers with me. Thats essentially it, jus say wat you mean and stop talkin in cliche's and riddles and shit. I shouldnt need a translator to speak to someone uneless we're not speakin the same language. Will do sir, I'll do my best :D
ReplyDeleteyessssssssss...suh! *church dip*
ReplyDeleteyou just said it, homie. 2easy was here, wash me, all that shit.
i dont know why people are so afraid or opposed to open, clear communication. they're scared of being misunderstood, so they stray even FURTHER from their point and say things in a way they think you want to hear it. THEN have the nerve to get upset when they're misunderstood. ...really?
but you're right -- maturity, self-awareness, the ability to take criticism and use them to better oneself rather than allowing one's pride to argue. those things are unfortunately about as common as.... common sense.
lovin' your blog. :D
