#1 Spot

It's possible. Yes jaded Raptors fans, come April the Raptors, the TORONTO RAPTORS could be the #1 seed in the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association.

No I'm not drunk or high or... what was the 3rd thing you said? Yes I know its only been about a dozen or so games and in that they haven't really beaten anyone of consequences (a Grizzlies team battling influenza doesn't count, stop playing Spin The Bottle Memphis!) and lost their only true test when they got pounded by the Bulls but this isn't outside the realm of possibility and let me explain why.

Noteable Quoteables - Voltaire

On this edition of Noteable Quoteables we discuss more of a political (controversial) quote from a french enlightenment writer (meaning he did this for a living) Francois-Marie Arouet de Voltaire who eventually shortened it (wouldn't you) to Voltaire:

Emoting; The Guidelines You Need To Know

Emotions are the easiest part of life right? They're universal. We all have em (despite our best efforts) so why is controlling them such hard work? Some can and have for years, while others seem like babies who jus figured out they have feet (sorry I have a son now so there will be a ton more baby references). I know as well as most people with sense that emotions are powerful creatures. They can render the most logical and sensible of us, into literal puddles of mush (I feel like I've written something like this before but since its been awhile consider this the remix) Its a weird dynamic really, emotional stability comes from a level of comfort not only in ones home life but their professional one. If I love my job but hate where I live my emotions will more than likely be out of whack as a result. I'm not saying that if you hate your family or your job you're doomed to be an emotional wreck (although don't be surprised) I'm jus saying the likelihood is MUCH higher. It would be like putting on a suit of armour and being surprised you lost a footrace

Muf*ckas Will Love Us... At Some Point

"Friends don't start supporting you until strangers start praising you" I can't remember where that quote is from and quite frankly I don't care all that much, I jus need it to make a point. I'm a simple man with simple dreams of world domination and while being supported on this journey would be awesome, its not a need and this should apply to all who are trying to make somethin of themselves. Don't get me wrong, this doesnt mean I think everyone neeeds to strike it out on their own and fuck e'erybody else (completely) I'm jus saying, getting upset at the fact that your friends don't attend EVERY one of your events or performances is a ludicrous standard to have in place.

Manhood Circa 2014

I could bore you with an "Its been a while and I'll never do it again" intro but I think we all know better. Life gets in the way and I don't get paid enough to do this thing as much as I enjoy it.

Now that that's out of the way lets discuss the topic at hand; Manhood. How many times have you heard Manhood (and not to be overlooked Womanhood) is dead? How often is it that some random old person starts a long winded story with "Back in my day" or "When I was your age"? Its practically a right of passage that once you get old enough you shit on those who come after you. I remember growing up waiting for the day I could tell the youth that followed me that their ways aint shit and we used to do shit for reals... not for play play (I was a bit of an oddball but anyone reading this should already know that) but that led me to thinking something, if every generation is supposedly weaker than the one before it than where in the hell are we gonna be in a decade's time?
