Complacency, the death of hard work

Now this is an old phrase, to which I admit Im paraphrasing and its pretty simple in its meaning; when you get satisfied with what you've accomplished, you lose the fire in your belly and get soft. (By the by Im loving using these 1 liners as titles in case you havent noticed :D). Back to complacency. Ive found with me a lot of times if I get satisfied I tend to get somewat complacent, fortunately for me I have issues and status quo isnt ever enough so it doesnt last and as a result I usually need to shake things up a little at some point (see the beginning of this blog). Now unfortunately people are prone to doing this and digging themselves into shallow graves ruts that become painfully difficult to get out of and per usual 2 Easy's here to help, shovel in hand (dig up stupid)

Whether its personal development (Im a stickler for people bettering themselves, maybe I should be a self help guru....altho I dun have the teeth for it) or jus career aspirations, complacency is the iceberg that will sink your Titanic. No one is saying not to enjoy and feel pride in what you have accomplished here because thats why you work hard but if you rest on your laurels you wont have as many accomplishments to enjoy and then become that dude who bragged about scoring 4 touchdowns in a single game. Id like to think no one really wants to peak at 18 and since theres a lot of life left to live after that, good ol 2 Easy is here to help provide a (loose) blueprint on avoiding falling into the complacency trap.

Satisfaction is dangerous. Too much and 1 can easily slip into complacency, too little and people will think your an overachieving joyless robot. Now Im not 1 to cater to peoples thoughts but I do think there can be merit to them so per usual the lesson here, touch. When striving for world domination achievement be sure to stop and smell the roses a bit, it'll make the enslavement of mankind achievement all the sweeter. Now of course this all assuming 1 has a goal their striving for (you can guess what mine is based on all my mis...types) and that is essentially a large part of the reason for this post. People.... have dreams, aspirations and almost most importantly AMBITION otherwise you may end up like a hilarious former football playing (and 4 touchdowns in a single game scoring) women's shoe salesman....

Its amazing how many times he lives mentions his greatest accomplishment
