The Joker - Villany With A Smile

Since I jus did a post on my boy Bats and why I think he's the biggest baddass in the billionaire superhero world (sans powers) doing a post on his biggest nemesis (other than his own demons) jus seems like the thing to do.
P.S Imma apologize for all the links from now, theres so many things on Mr.Napier (Joker's real name) that I enjoyed and felt you should all see.

Usually I'm quite concerned about the origin story of a villain and why they are the way they are but honestly no one can pinpoint an origin for the Joker and even if they do, he was ALWAYS unstable and clearly destined for major villainy. I've seen different versions where he was a 2 bit thug who fell into a vat and then went nuts. Others jus say he showed up one day and started fuckin shit up. Either way the Joker has been a agent of chaos since his inception and that is prolly my favourite aspect of him his villainy because it seems like random destruction when in actuality its random destruction weaved together in a brilliant unseen tapestry for him to jus have the most fun possible showing that people aint shit.

The Joker is literally the anti-Batman. Bats is serious and brooding with a strict dress moral code, whereas Joker does what he wants when he wants however he wants with little to no regard to consequences in the flashiest flyest purple suit since everyones favourite pimp. His motives are more about entertainment than noble redemption (that's Batman) The Joker gets off on showing the filthy underbelly of humankind and that everyone has a sick sadistic nature similar to his and to top it all off he does it with an amazing perma-smile/laugh.

All of that makes him the perfect villain not only for Batman but overall. A villain shouldn't have an agenda and in the event that they do, it should be damn near impossible to track/figure out. Not too long ago ill Dapoe did a post on the greatness that is Megatron and I agree that Megatron is a good villain but he's more of a politician dictator, a robotic Gaddafi if you will whereas the Joker has no peer for comparison-sake. There's no line he won't cross.(Your welcome to insert your "Nobody can cross it" jokes) Heros are serious, brooding and vigilant with deep introspective thoughts and serious moral dilemmas that have them questioning their lives and motivation on almost a daily basis. Joker kills with a smile and a laugh that can grow then raise the hair on the back of your neck.

The Joker is also different from most other villains because while the others strive to destroy their hero counterparts, he knows he can't exist without Batman. Batman is the ying to his yang, the Sunny to his Cher, The ill Dapoe to his 2 Easy (pause) the reason behind his existence (Pause again). Without Batman there's no real source of entertainment for the Joker's weird bloodlust. He wants to warp the Batmans characterisitics to get a cheap laugh make him go against his code and continually pushing him to his limit is a rush that softens the blow of the constant defeats.

In the end, the Joker really has 1 (more like 6) question for us, jus to get our blood boiling right before that moment of....death (unsure if a pause is warranted here....pause), that altho seems quite simplistic, is deliciously brilliant in its complexities.... Why So Serious?
