Bruce Wayne vs Tony Stark: The Battle of the Billionaire Playboys

Recently, I had my shoulder injured (cue the sympathy) and while I was laid up on bedrest I caught up on some old favourite movies, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight as well as Iron Man (not the second installment cause its not on TV yet and I don't own it) While I was watchin I realized something, Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark share a LOT of similarities. Both are billionaire businessmen with companies that produce cutting edge technology and both lost pretty much all the family they had left in the world and of course both ran thru more broads that Usain does finish line tape (dam that is what you call a metaphor) and that raised the question "Who would you rather be?"

Bruce and Tony both each have their own playboy extravagant lifestyles. Life fast, live hard and the pursuit of scientific greatness (one of these things isn't like the other) their each brilliant and frequently misunderstood with minds well ahead of their respective times.
Their alter egos and use of em also are a measuring stick of their respective personalities (like 4 minimum between em). Bruce turned his childhood angst into inspiration/motivation becoming the biggest badass to ever trademark everything he uses (Batarang? Really?) while Tony took his issues and gifts and channeled them into building the best robot exo-skeleton money can buy plus the nigga can fly. I've always related more to Batman jus because I always thought him to be the ultimate human being. His suit gives him certain advantages too however Stark's are much more evident and he doesn't kno how to fight suit-less where's I'm pretty sure Wayne can kill a man with his buttcheek power, Batman also knows how to get into peoples heads through some of the most intimidating interrogation ever whereas Ironman really jus seems to invent a technology that'll blow enough shit up to stop his villain....temporarily.
So in this debate (which is really reminiscent of the Peyton Manning vs Tom Brady one for all you football fans or Kobe vs  LBJ for u NBA ones or even Crosby vs Ovechkin...sorry baseball/soccer/lesser sports fans I don't got one for u) is clearly quite fictional objective. Orignally I said I'd choose Bats and after doing some brief reflection and thought on the subject I think I jus may stick with him (sorry Tony) because to me I feel as though Batman is far more vigilant complex.

Bruce Wayne's REAL personally is Batman and his life as Bruce is his mask so as to be able to maintain some semblance of his sanity and humanity and he does this not as a front to humanity but because he's beyond it. The fact that he can be so much past our kind and yet still have a strict moral code and compassion towards while remaining such a badass is beyond admirable to me. Tony is a scared little boy living in his fathers shadow afraid he'll never be as good and as much as I love narcissism (and believe I love it a lot, almost much as I do me and I love me some me) I can't accept his epiphany that he's a warlord and therefore needs to make the world a better place only because the credit/glory are clearly jus as important to him. Plus his reliance on the suit is so high I can't possibly give him badass points, Jarvis (the computer program that runs the suit) is almost as important as Tony himself. Plus his villians aren't nearly as cool and demented lame, and really and truly how cant you love a hero whose got moves like this or did we all forget the Batusi?

  3. I'd rather be Iron Man, because I would fight alongside The Avengers. As well, I'd want to be able to SHOOT people, so Batman would be out of the question. :)
