My Kobe-Versary

Let me start off by saying this is not me celebrating beating a rape charge but rather the celebration of my birth 24 times over. Usually Im not a big birthday guy, I mean I enjoy gathering to celebrate ones escape from the birth canal but Im not really big on having a huge gathering for it... at least not anymore. As a kid I loved being the center of attention and relished birthdays because it meant calls (and serenades of Fred, family birthday song) from relatives I only heard from once or twice a year and jus a fawning that Id come to crave. Being that now Im a beaten down older man I realize that a lot of that is fake fawning since it only does come once a year similar to an old couple who makes sure they annually do it ironically on one of their birthdays*shudder* and since Im not big on planning because people will let you down more often than not (a post for the future) I gave up on planning and traditional birthday fun on a whole.

Often times I feel as tho people put faaaar too much emphasis on their birthdays (see "My Super Sweet 16") kinda like people do other random arbitrary dates (New Years Day, Anniversaries, Groundhog Day etc etc) and ones birthday gets one of the biggest amounts of unneeded attention and in that undue pressure and stress is placed on it. Ive heard some awful birthday stories about failed attempts to plan things and I dont get the appeal. People are going to flop (post soon come), its jus in their nature jus make sure that in doing and planning for ones celebration you enjoy yourself.... Duh. That doesnt seem that difficult to understand yet still nary a birthday goes by without massive complaints so I decided not me in dat (a phrase originating from TnT for those of you non West Indian readers)

This year it all jus fell into place. Im in a very good place in my life and it all seemed to fit together. I didnt particularly have a plan because a friend of mine (@DJKiddTempo) was throwing a party and I decided to hop on (even got put on the flyer :D) I bought myself a new 40inch television for my bedroom and was actually able to afford it pretty easily, I went to woodbine beach and got paid to do so (being a camp counselor does have its perks), I was spoiled by my babafriedchicken (shes a doll) and I received some awesome artistic gifts. Pics of all these things (minus the party itself, u kno whose fault that is :p) can be found on my facebook account if your really that interested Overall I jus had myself a good day and that was all 1 can really ask for. Got dressed up danced with my peoples and as always enjoyed some drunkards looking stupid, all in all it was quite a decent way to ring in the new age... Next up Barry Bonds aka the big 2-5 emphasis on big cause of the whole steroids thing :D

PS: THANK YOU TO ALL OF WHO TOOK THE TIME TO EITHER COME, CALL OR MESSAGE ME TO WISH ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ALL THE WISHES DO MEAN A LOT TO ME!!!!

This little ditty tho, will forever hold a special place for me :D <3

  3. Life is great when you don't focus on the negative things. It's very easy to only see that side of life. It takes a lot of work to emphasize the good things because they're not always so obvious.

You're young, healthy, and full of piss and vinegar. The day you forget that life is great is the day I will perform a hara-kiri on your doorstep. For you would have broughta greeeeat shame to our famery...

"Ah hope yuh hadda great pa'ty!"

  4. GO! LIfe needs moderation and too much focus one way or another will send u into a delusional state but ur right emphasizing good is definitely harder then emphasizing negative hence the post :D Piss AND vinegar? It really was my birthday and I gladly await ur trip to my doorstep.
