Twitter killed the Blogger star

Lately Ive had a lot of things Ive been wanting to write and post and I keep finding myself stuck and disinterested with my blog. Ive tried to rationalize it by saying life was preventing me from throwing myself into it or that I was waiting for inspiration (complete double rainbow) but the other day I realized something, my twitter account has killed my blogging (similar to video killin the radio...star) Im aware many have both and run them quite easily but often those are blogs that are focused on trends or fashion or somethin people pleasing whereas *this* blog is dedicated to my gripes and is an outlet for my sick thoughts (I had sick thoughts #RoleModels....SEE! twitter influences) but with the emergence of my twitter account @ItsJus2Easy (http://twitter.com/#!/ItsJus2Easy) I dun need to rely as much on my blog for that release anymore. Twitter has allowed me the opportunity to blog in spurts and with the convenience of it being attached to my phone and the hilarity of many people's instant responses Ive been distracted by the marathon that is blogging.

Ive seen my boys IllDapoe & the Unilballer aka JP or even Dije (I wont post the link cuz I dun think she wants a lotta fanfare) blog up a storm in the past couple days and naturally I thought what every boy thinks when everyone is changing and thriving around him: "Why not me?" In thinking I realized it was because....brace urselves.... I canNOT blog and tweet simultaneously. Tweeting is me shortening and refining my gripes and opinions to short 140 or less characters of brilliance which is the exact opposite of how Ive come to blog. My blog usually flows until Im flaccid I get annoyed or until I feel as tho Im starting to succumb to the dreaded B.S (Blogger Syndrome, see post for in-depth explanation) and I cut (sorry the slang these kids use seeps in sometimes. For you rubes out there cut means stop and/or leave) Now with the emergence of my twitter addiction account its not only diluted my topics but my writing style/ability. Im struggling to finish this post as we speak (I type you read, technically no one speaks) Longevity without loss of purpose has always been one of the things that Ive honestly been quite proudest of with this blog and its what Ive really enjoyed and received some of the most compliments on and now... its become work and effort which leads me to conclude that until I can manage both simultaneously and seamlessly Im only goin to manage and operate 1 at a time, as a great and prolly drunk scotsman once said:

"In the end, there can only be 1"

  1. Brilliant Title, first off. Secondly - I think that instant gratification and acknowledgement would be the only reason i'd get a twitter. cause this not knowing if anyone is reading the blog can be a bit discouraging "cause ya'll could feel any way about k, but at least ya'll feel something"
Thirdly - does this mean i have to kill jp's blog, cause there can only be ONE!!!!!!!!

  2. Thank you, titles are my favourite part of this whole bloggin thing. Thats the thing not everyone responds on twitter either so its jus the fact that Im not feelin like Im pourin my shit into a blog only for a handful of people to see. Gets a bit discouraging sometimes (jus read over your comment and realized u already wrote this, great freakin minds dude) but as Ive said I dont really care who reads my blog anymore so Im over it. LOL no it actually means that your blog cannot exist with your other social media altho if you take it as a challenge to take on the Uniballer than I'd pay to see that fight
