I have yet to get into this gripe and its one that causes me the most stress and anxiety: Bad Drivers (you know who you are!) There are unwritten rules of the road people and there are more than enough WRITTEN rules to follow that these awful drivers already ignore. There are far too many times where people fluster my mind and cause me to hit my poor steering wheel in anger. Driving in 2 lanes, indicators on which no lane change, driving slower than the speed limit in the fast lane soooo many scenarios that cause me to be interested in road rage.
Parking, you'd figure it would be quite easy since there are lines in which to guide your automobile but ooo no that def is not the case. I cannot tell you how often Ive gone to the grocery store and 1 car has messed up the entire line and everyone's gotta park awfully or jus not park smh. I understand parallel parking is intimidating so in those scenarios I will give people a pass but at the mall or in the parking lots at work I cannot in good conscience give you a bligh (trini term) to terrible parking otherwise. People jus leave their cars however shrug and go about their lives not realizing how they done turned a routine stop at the grocery store into a game of Tetris for me cause I gotta figure out how Im gettin my care to fit into half a space not to mention how the hell I have to get out once I've managed to fit the car in there.
Driving isnt as black and white to me as parking is (this is as racist as this post is getting...even tho some nationalities seem to drive worse, we all know which ones). Driving, GOOD driving requires some character traits that not a lot of people have. Awareness probably being the biggest. Knowing wats goin on around you sounds simple enough yet the obliviousness Ive seen on the road continually astounds me. People drive as tho they cannot grasp the concept of a universe outside of their car. Eyes GLUED forward and stiff smh, how are you to kno the flow of traffic if you don't have any idea wats goin on 3 feet away from you? You'd think they started charging people for their attention (because paying attention is free :) Then you have the drivers who treat every road like its the highway and their apart of Nascar. I do not mind driving fast nor quick lane switches providing their done CORRECTLY. If your slicing in and out of lanes like a bad knife than those other nervous drivers are going to react, say it with me now, nervously. Slow down, your neighbours (not all of you will get that and its ok, you dont watch enough television).
Lastly (because this hatred can go on forever and I'd like to keep it brief) I cant stand them looky loo's. Everytime somethin happens, an accident, police stop, somethin shiny they slow traffic to a damn near hault jus to break their necks and see into someone else's business steups. A good friend once said we all should subscribe to www.mindyobusiness.com more often and I cant say I disagree, membership is free. That ish is unbelievably irritating and while Im on the subject what is really the cause of traffic anyway? If theres no construction going on then why are certain roads slow as an 80 year old's bowel movement and other empty as Chingy concert. I jus dun understand that and since its another factor for the rage I thought Id mention it especially when we're all goin the same way and 1 lane is moving and you decide to join and it IMMEDIATELY stops? Smh its like theres someone out there TRYING to poke the bear (so to speak, no its not a porno)
The clip is a worst case scenario that can help ease the stress with some laughter or put the fear of God into me knowing how much worse things can get lol
